This is the Dunav Hotel, which the city of Vukovar bought at the beginning of 2018 from the company EURCO doo, for HRK 10,360,000.00, and now, after a public tender, it was bought by the Swiss company Immo Invest Pertner AG, owned by Jack and Frank Djordić. Either way, it is important how the whole process ends, and how Vukovar will get a strong tourist boost in the back when the new Danube Hotel opens its doors. The plan is to build a 4-star hotel with about 120 rooms, or 240 beds, with attractive restaurants, offices and multimedia spaces, and the total investment, according to investors, is worth about 200 million kuna. According to the plan, the new Hotel Dunav should receive its guests in 2023. Yesterday in Vukovar, between the city and the company Immo Invest Partner Vukovar dd, an Agreement on the purchase and sale of real estate of special importance owned by the City of Vukovar was signed. Hilton after Zagreb, Dubrovnik and Rijeka and in Vukovar? During the tender for the sale of the Danube Hotel, the initial total was HRK 10.7 million, while investors offered HRK 11.3 million. Investors are obliged to obtain all permits in the next 18 months, whereby the property itself becomes their property, and then they have a period of 7 years to obtain a use permit, ie. commissioning of the facility. The same investors had bought “Club Adriatic” in Baška Voda, but before signing the purchase agreement, Immo Invest did not pay the funds within 30 days after signing the contract because the presented debt of 172 creditors with 130 million kuna almost overnight “jumped” at 180 million. So the whole story fell apart, and the agony of Club Adriatic continues. By the way, Immo Invest Pertner AG is a construction company that owns three hotels in Switzerland, which are managed by Hilton through a franchise model. Bringing Hilton to Vukovar was one of the unofficial information as an investor’s plan. As could be heard on the sidelines of Vukovar, the building of the old hotel would collapse and a second of 36 floors would be built in its place, which would also house numerous business premises, offices, but also the Hilton hotel on five floors.
